Enhance your living space with a delightful display of blooming flowers that not only dazzle your eyes but also fill your home with enchanting fragrances. While many individuals opt to cultivate plants in their gardens or on balconies, indoor gardening has gained popularity. Among the cherished indoor companions are orchids, which are increasingly finding their way into our homes.

Maintaining the vitality and continuous blossoming of orchids necessitates careful attention and a steady supply of nourishment. While numerous chemical products are available in specialized stores, there exists an alternative that ensures robust, thriving orchids: the use of excellent natural remedies.

Once the orchid’s flowers have all bloomed, the initial step is to trim branches where no flowers have grown. Applying white cement to the cuts aids in disinfection and prompt healing.

The subsequent step involves taking a tomato, slicing it in half, and then into thin slices. Why tomatoes, you ask? Tomatoes are rich in essential nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus, making them an ideal choice to accelerate orchid growth.

Place the tomato slices in a large jar and add approximately 300 ml of water. Blend the mixture to obtain a liquid solution, which should then be filtered into another container through a sieve.

To this container, add more water until you have a liter of tomato juice. At this point, you can choose one of two methods to provide the right nourishment for your orchids.

  1. The first method involves immersing cotton pads in the tomato juice solution. Wrap these tomato-soaked pads around the initially cut branch, securing them with a hair clip or a fastener. Repeat this process every seven days to maintain adequate moisture levels for the buds. On other days, lightly mist the flower branches to ensure the appropriate humidity.
  2. The second method also uses tomato-soaked cotton pads, but with a different purpose. In this case, gently rub the pads over the plant’s leaves. Tomatoes are packed with antioxidants and antibacterial properties, making this a beneficial operation. Perform this task every two weeks to keep your orchid’s leaves vibrant and healthy.
