1. Prepare the Lemons:

  • Wash the lemons thoroughly. Start by sprinkling 2 tablespoons of baking soda on them and gently scrubbing each lemon with your hands.
  • Rinse the lemons, then add a handful of coarse salt and scrub them again to ensure they’re clean.
  • Soak the lemons in water for 10 minutes, then rinse them 3 more times. Dry them completely to prevent spoilage.

2. Slice the Lemons:

  • Cut off both ends of the lemons and slice them thinly. Remove any seeds to avoid bitterness.
  • Squeeze the juice from 3 lemons and set it aside.
