DIY Floating Garden: Here’s All You Need to Know
If you have a green thumb, you must absolutely try the floating garden, a new way of gardening. Here’s what it’s all about.
The floating garden, also known as a hanging garden, involves securing containers with plants using string, thick rope, or fabric strips. This way, various blooms will appear to float in the air.
For this technique, it is recommended to use plants that do not require special care, such as succulents.
1. Plant Curtain: If you have a not-so-spacious home and need to divide spaces, you can create a curtain with plants using a metal rod fixed to the ceiling. During the execution of this project, pay close attention to the weight of each pot, which should be tied to the support with thin black rope and plastic hooks. The plants used to create this curtain are of the trailing type.
2. Green Solution: Idea #1: With a large branch, ropes, metal hooks, and various containers, you can create a very natural suspended garden. In this case, the pots have been attached to the wooden stick with braided rope. This suspended garden can also be placed outside your home.
3. Green Solution: Idea #2: Similar to the previous idea, various types of containers, including metal, glass, and terracotta, were used in this suspended garden. To hang the plants, the rope was tied to metal rings, which were in turn fixed with metal hooks. It is recommended to hang this decoration on a wall in a room where the plants can receive plenty of natural light, but not direct sunlight, as it could be harmful to your blooms.
Happy gardening to everyone!
